Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am infatuated with Venice. I have been there 4 times in the last 8 years! That is basically an obsession!
I love the alleyways. I love getting lost down them. I love the deterioration in the buildings. There is something so beautiful in erosion. Venice is one of the most unique places in the world, and maybe that is why I love it. The island is in a fragile, deteriorated state and it creates this environment where you want to soak in every idiosyncrasy, because one day it will be no more. I wonder how our lives would change if we did that with our own lives every single day. I know I sure could use this reminder. So, today I will try to get lost in the fragile, deteriorating details in my life and soak in every moment.
