Today is Hand-Painted Wedding‘s 1-year birthday….(and my 31st birthday)! The past year has been wonderful at Hand-Painted Weddings and I am so excited to see what year 2 brings! Thank you to the readers of this little blog!
I’m celebrating my birthday(s) today at a wedding in Richmond, VA. Very exciting (and appropriate if I must say) to be celebrating Hand-Painted Wedding’s 1-year birthday at a wedding!
Do you dream in letterpress? You know–the wonderful tactile feeling of rubbing your fingers over elegant typography, and the beautiful shadows that are created in the crevices of the letterpressed words. Letterpress is a centuries old printing process that creates an impression (literally) on the paper through a very hands-on procedure.
I’m excited to announce that Hand-Painted Weddings is now offering an upgrade option for our Signature Invitations. For an additional $350, you can add a 1-color letterpress impression to your 100 invitation/reply card order. This means that your text will all be 1-color and have a beautiful indentation (or debossing) technique applied to it. The tactile quality of letterpress and the artistry of watercolor are a gorgeous match because they both incorporate a hands-on, unique aesthetic. Letterpress in itself is an art form and I’m so excited to offer this new technique to our clients!
A letterpress drop down option will be available on all Signature Invitation listings on the website soon. Can’t wait? Simply contact me and we’ll discuss further.
I consider myself a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to social media. I mean geez….I am still trying to figure out hashtags! I may be one of the last people to join Instagram, and truthfully I have no idea why I waited so long to join!
My goal with Instagram is to capture a mix of everyday moments and works in progress photos. I think it is important to capture these little special moments. It is almost like a visual Gratitude journal; being grateful for all of the simple moments such as really great foam on your cappuccino or a beautiful blossom sprouting in your garden. These are the moments that make up your life and should be cherished. It is these moments that I aim to bring to my Hand-Painted Invitations. I am very excited to see how my new Instagram hobby will effect my craft and my business.
