Fun and Reliable Custom Process
Below is the standard process of working with the artist on your custom designs.
First we will discuss your wedding details and any inspiration you have collected while planning your wedding. Share Pinterest boards, inspiration images, color palettes, etc. with me. Consider your wedding venue or town where you are getting married for inspiration. This is a beautiful way to give a sneak peek to your guests of your big day.
If we are a good match to work together on your hand-painted invitation set, simply email me and let me know you are ready! I will send you a link to sign as well as a PayPal invoice for a $250 nonrefundable deposit. Please note that the deposit goes towards the final cost of your invitation set.
I have a fun worksheet for you to fill out where you pick your favorite fonts, colors, styles and write in your wedding day information for me to use in your designs.
Once your inspiration is collected and your worksheet filled out, I will begin sketching your 1-2 sketched concepts. The amount of sketches is based on how defined the look is from our initial chat. Your pencil sketch along with the text layout is the time to fall in love with the overall layout of your pieces. I will share the sketches with you via email for feedback.
Paint & Proof
After the sketches are approved, I will start painting your final graphics. I will also make any text edits that were discussed in the sketch phase. Once complete, I will send you 1 to 3 pdf “proofs” to proofread to make sure your invitation sets are perfect. If the edits go past 3 pdf proofs, we will discuss the additional charges.
Once the design is as desired, and the text has been proofread for accuracy and spelling/grammar, I will send you a PayPal invoice for the remaining balance. The balance of the cost will be due to Hand-Painted Weddings prior to production.
Your pieces are printed at a top-of-the-line professional printer on premium watercolor paper. If you are interested in a sample invitation set to ensure the colors are as you expect, the cost is $30. Allow 2 weeks for printing and production.
Addressing & Assembly
While your pieces are printing, we will work together on your mailing list to prepare for addressing your envelopes. I will send you an Excel template for your addresses, and will layout all of your envelopes for approval prior to production. I will assemble your invitation sets, weigh, apply postage, and mail your invitations if you choose.
Wedding Day Paper
Your invitations are complete, and now it’s time to think about your wedding day paper pieces such as ceremony programs, menus, place cards, etc. 50% of the wedding day paper cost is due at the start of the process with the balance due prior to shipment.
