The bride is an interior designer so her attention The bride is an interior designer so her attention to detail was top notch. She truly had the most elegance and pristine vision for her destination wedding at @belmondhotelcipriani in Venice, Italy. For her save the date I painted the Hotel Cipriani boat along the canal with the historic San Marco square in the background. I also painted Baroque architectural details in “Venetian pink” on the corners. Those elements were repeated on the couple’s invitation which featured a soft painting of the venue along the canal. A custom illustrated map was also painted in their suite—to get guests excited for their trip! The bride found these beautiful Venice inspired frames for her wedding day paper and I drew from the inspiration, along with the sculpture on top of the columns in Piazzo San Marco to paint a little lion detail for their escort cards. I also added an elegant oval shape to many of her signs which is a subtle, luxe touch I like to add if the designs are very simple. This welcome party at @belmondhotelcipriani in Ven This welcome party at @belmondhotelcipriani in Venice, Italy was nearly as fancy as the couple’s wedding day so I worked with the bride to separate the look of their wedding day paper. The welcome party took on an elegant garden party aesthetic complete with fruits and colorful florals and accents of pewter. While the wedding was elegant neutrals with ivory and gold. There was a custom menu with a brushed lettered name on it that opened upwards with the guest’s specific meal inside. This brushed lettering continued on the drink menu and sign for the watercolor artist that was on site @studiosheean Custom luxe ivory cocktail napkins with a simple bright green monogram was handed out with the drinks. It was a warm day full of love, 3 years ago! My dr It was a warm day full of love, 3 years ago! My dream wedding. Planning happened in such a kismet way—we got married in the side yard of a friend of a friend’s father’s mansion, which I painted on the wedding invitation and welcome sign. I also gifted the original to him as a thank you. ☺️ It was an intimate 50 person wedding so I considered all the little details from handwritten thank you cards on the ceremony chairs, to bug spray station, time capsule guestbook, a cutting cake made by my mom, and 6 signature drinks to choose from (more than I’ve ever painted on a client’s signature cocktail sign). The couple got married at @cescaphe Water Works in Philadelphia.. Their save the date was a wide double-sided card with Boathouse Row painted on the front and text with a small photo of the couple on the back.
