    Work in Progress: Commissioned Watercolor Succulent

    Here is a sneak peak of a commissioned watercolor I am currently working on. This is a 5″ x 7″ painting that I am working on from a beautiful photo that the client provided. It has been a lot of fun to work on! The colors are fantastic!

    Succulents have been on my wish list to paint for awhile. I just might end up doing a succulent wedding invitation in the near future!

    Commissioned Watercolors: Wedding Walk

    Yes, it rained on our wedding day, so by default I am one of those people who says that rain on your wedding day brings good luck. It is funny how that works, right…you don’t want to wish rain on your wedding day, but if you get it, it’s good luck. Lucky for me I had a wonderful photographer who captured rain really well!

    This is one of my favorite portrait photos from our wedding. The funny part is that I had no idea this photo was taking place during this photo. Note: I probably wouldn’t have hiked up my dress quite that much if I had known. But I like that this photo is real; it’s natural. I also love the colors in the trees! I loved the color so much that I thought it would be a beautiful watercolor painting. My only problem was that I liked the composition on the black and white photo better than the color version, so I used both photos to create this watercolor. It was a fun challenge!

    I am offering commissioned watercolors at a special rate of $200 per commissioned watercolor at a 6″ x 9″ size (horizontal or vertical layout) plus shipping, and at $325 per commissioned watercolor at a 8″ x 10″ size plus shipping. This price will likely increase in the future, so act fast!
