There are so many options for designing your Italy-inspired wedding.
You could go the old-world charming route and have a lot of lace accents, candlelight, and rich colors.
You could also create a wedding inspired by the textures and colors of Venice. The silvery green (from the water) and the coral (of the buildings) would be a beautiful color palette for this wedding design.
You could go for a very strong Roman theme, especially if your wedding venue has pillars in its architecture.
Another route is to focus on the food of Italy, which is what I hinted at with this inspiration board. On one of my trips to Rome, I went with a good friend, Melissa, and stayed with her extended family. It was a marvelous way to see how the Italians live. The family didn’t speak much (if any) English, so I had to stay keen on observing their body language to keep up with the goings on. One of the things I liked that they did, is at the dinner table the passed around a baguette and broke off a piece of it and put it directly on the table cloth to eat with dinner. It was so casual; I loved it. It would be so much fun to have a wedding on a long table where food is served family-style and where the guests all break bread together.
