The air is getting warmer. The flowers are blooming. There are picnics and festivals and lounging in the park. There are outdoor concerts and camping trips. Oh yes, and it is wedding season!

In the spirit of all these relaxing Spring/Summer activities, I created the Backyard Charm invitation which evokes the essence of casual, outdoor charm. With its loose green watercolor wash, mason jar flower arrangement, and chimes, this invitation is sure to warm the soul of your guests with all the happy memories of lounging outside during these gorgeous Spring/Summer days. This invitation would be perfect for a couple who is getting married outside, especially in a park or backyard. This invitation could also be adjusted to work as a Bridal Shower invitation. Dream in Letterpress

Do you dream in letterpress? You know–the wonderful tactile feeling of rubbing your fingers over elegant typography, and the beautiful shadows that are created in the crevices of the letterpressed words. Letterpress is a centuries old printing process that creates an impression (literally) on the paper through a very hands-on procedure.

I’m excited to announce that Hand-Painted Weddings is now offering an upgrade option for our Signature Invitations. For an additional $350, you can add a 1-color letterpress impression to your 100 invitation/reply card order. This means that your text will all be 1-color and have a beautiful indentation (or debossing) technique applied to it. The tactile quality of letterpress and the artistry of watercolor are a gorgeous match because they both incorporate a hands-on, unique aesthetic. Letterpress in itself is an art form and I’m so excited to offer this new technique to our clients!
