Photo booth Love by Hand-Painted Weddings

February…the month of love! I’m going to start off the month expressing how much I love photo booths at weddings! My husband and I have been to two weddings with photo booths. One had the traditional booth where you are squeezed in a tight booth (and the photos come out on a strip). The other was the more modern approach to photobooths, where there really isn’t a booth, but a curtain or backdrop set-up and a photographer capturing the fun. I prefer the former probably because my goofiness happens behind a curtain rather than out in front of everyone, but both are super fun!

I just received the photo on the right in a thank you card from the bride and groom…now, that was a great idea! Both photos are displayed prominently on our refrigerator.

Here is more inspiration for your photobooth:

I hope you consider looking into adding this super fun trend to your wedding!

  • Roller Derby Thumbprint Guest Print

Roller Derby Thumbprint Guest Print by Hand-Painted Weddings

A couple of weeks back at the Lovesick Expo in Philadelphia, I raffled off the Hand-Painted Weddings Cobblestone Thumbprint Guest Print. The woman who won the raffle excited came to meet me in person and was telling me that she and her partner were really into roller derby….and a lightbulb went off. I thought, “That would be a super cool, unique theme for a wedding!”

The Roller Derby Thumbprint Guestbook is inspired by vintage pinup calendar girls, with the legs up in the air. This guest print definitely has an air of sexiness to it. I feel that as tough of a sport as roller derby is, there also is a bit of sexiness to this sport.

The Roller Derby Thumbprint Guestbook is now available for purchase in the Thumbprint Guestbook Shop.

  • Commissioned Watercolor Baby Gifts-Part 2

Commissioned Watercolor Bear by Hand-Painted Weddings

Today’s baby gift painting is of an adorable white teddy bear. I bought this bear for my dear friend’s son, Sammy. When I was little, I adored my teddy bear, Bobby. These stuffed animals go everywhere with kids! They are like the kid’s best friend. It seemed fitting to characterize these stuffed animals (or dolls) in a child’s world of fantasy by having a painting of them and framing it for the child’s bedroom. I hope that these paintings can act as keepsakes for the child as he/she grows up, even after the stuffed animal or doll becomes worn or given up.

This adorable white bear watercolor is now available in the Hand-Painted Weddings Etsy store here. If you are interested in having your very own commissioned watercolor gift, please contact me for details. Pricing varies based on complexity.
