    Water Ripples Invitation by Hand-Painted Weddings

    Watercolor’s natural essence sings in the Water Ripples Invitation as the blue paint stretches and seeps through the painting. This invitation is inspired by light shining and sparkling off the sea. The idea originated from my love of the glistening water in the Venice Gondola painting I made a few months back…but much more zoomed in.

    The Water Ripples Invitation is perfect for a wedding that is happening by the ocean or by the pool. It would be lovely for a wedding on a boat or for a couple who is looking for a striking blue watercolor theme for their wedding.

    The blues in this invitation are quite dramatic, which is one of the unique features of this invitation. Many watercolors are soft and subtle, but this invitation amplifies watercolor’s robust pigments and the wonderful liquid nature of this medium.

    I’m working on a few more Thumbprint Guestbooks. The first one I will show you is this Country Cobblestone Thumbprint Guestbook. The couple’s names go on the top piece of wood on the sign and the wedding date goes on the bottom.

    Just as with the Cobblestone Thumbprint Guestbook, guests “sign” with their fingerprint to fill in the cobblestone path.

    I love the warm appeal of this guest print. It is the essence of a summer day at sunset!

    Yellow…the sunniest of colors! I’m always drawn to yellow flowers because they are just so cheerful! The Flower Vine wedding is a mix of sunny yellows and cheerful flowers with a hint of vintage charm.

    This year is the perfect year to have a Flower Vine wedding because decorative flower patterns are so in trend right now. Wouldn’t surprise me if this trend makes its way into 2014 as well because it is such a joyful style!

    The Flower Vine wedding features organic, loosely styled flower arrangements on reception tables, ceremony chairs, and quite frankly adorning any and every surface possible.

Because when I’m painting, I lose track of time. I get completely in the zone.
