    Hand-Painted Weddings is now on Etsy, too!

    In addition to purchasing invitations and watercolor prints in the Hand-Painted Weddings Shop, you can now purchase them through Etsy.com on http://www.etsy.com/shop/handpaintedweddings. Currently, I have all of my watercolor prints in the Etsy Shop and I plan on adding invitations in the next few days.

    If you have an account on Etsy, consider “Adding HandPaintedWeddings as a Favorite” (the Heart icon). I’m very happy to be a part of an enormous group of talented artists.

    Do you have any fun plans this weekend? I’m planning on taking a trip to my favorite place, Terrain at Styers. I always leave that store inspired! Also, if the weather cooperates, my friend and I are going to Longwood Gardens to see the amazing light installation that is currently on exhibition. All in all, it is shaping out to be a lovely weekend!

    I am a big fan of outdoor weddings. If it wasn’t raining on my wedding day, my husband and I would have married outside in a rustic little courtyard. Instead we married inside by a cozy fireplace, which was a great alternative.

    As you can see from this compilation of string light inspiration, string lights are the perfect touch for an outdoor wedding. They transform the venues into magical, celebratory places. String lights work beautifully in or outside of barn weddings, in backyard weddings, vineyard weddings, or in courtyards. From my experience, lighting is one of those extras at weddings, that often get overlooked. Oftentimes if you invest a little money and time into lighting, you can make up that money in other areas that might not have as big an impact. Lights really do transform the environment and add a beautiful sparkle to wedding photos.

    The String Lights invitation is casual and classy. The color palette in this hand-painted invitation is inspired by a backyard summer barbeque. The script font is classy in a soft, relaxed way. This invitation would be perfect for the couple who is getting married at a fully outdoors or partially outdoors wedding venue. The ideal wedding would start in the bright, hot sunshine and continue through the sunset as the string lights start to twinkle.
