• Vow Renewal Invitation set based on the Cinderella Invitation

Custom Pink Cinderella invitation set by Hand-Painted Weddings

Customized projects come in all shapes and sizes. This one was a variation on the Cinderella Invitation set in Hand-Painted Weddings Shop. This invitation was for a happy couple who was going to have their vow renewal in magical Disneyland. The colors in this invitation changed from light blues to pinks, and the cards were printed on a pearlescent paper giving it a very ethereal shimmer. The outer envelope was also a beautiful pearlescent envelope to match. I love how this invitation came out!

Always a blast, Lovesick Expo hosted with Offbeat Bride really is the must-attend wedding show of the year! The vendors as well as the attendees are great, down-to-earth people looking for beautiful and unique weddings. Sometimes in the wedding world it is easy to get swept up in the superficial beauty of it all, but a wedding really is a celebration of a couple’s love for one another. Lovesick Expo is for couples who appreciate that importance and are seeking out local vendors that share that authenticity and bring a creative spin to it.

One of the biggest things about Lovesick is how much fun everyone is having! It isn’t stuffy or stressful. It is a lot of fun; it’s sparkly, it curses; it’s enthusiastic; it’s real. Lovesick’s tagline is “defy the mainstream” and it really is fitting.

This is our third year at Lovesick and it was another banner year. I love meeting couples in person and seeing the excitement in their eyes when they say their wedding date. Or when a bride giggles with her bridesmaid. Or when a groom asks the most interesting question about wedding invites, proving that wedding details aren’t just an interest of the bride.

It was exciting to see how many people loved my Love Park Thumbprint Guest Print, which really is the perfect touch for any Philly reception. Honestly, everyone that came up to my table was so sweet, that I want to work with all of them on their wedding invitations. I could be so lucky, truly.

Saving the best for last! Check out this creative idea—have a decorate your own painted cookie station! It is the perfect touch for a gallery wedding to get the guests involved in a very unique way. The cookies can be part of the dessert or it can be the favors, with bags on the side to bring home. It is such an easy way to bring a playful, artistic element to your wedding.

I gleefully worked on this project with the very talented Zoe from Whipped Bakeshop. It was so much fun working together to create these wild pink and purple brushstrokes in each of our appropriate mediums—mine paper and hers dessert. The cake is unbelievably beautiful with its light brushstrokes on the top and the touch of gold foil around the layers.

I do hope you enjoyed Gallery Wedding week and are inspired to bring a hand-painted touch to your wedding, whether at a gallery or if you are an artist looking to incorporate your art into your wedding! If you missed it, be sure to check out the other posts this week: Truly a Painterly Touch, Two Wedding Locations—Two Outfits, Quiet Moments Together, and a Gallery Ceremony.

Note: If you like the look of this wedding, be sure to check out the Gallery Paint Brushed Invitation by Hand-Painted Weddings which was inspired and created for this shoot.
