    I like taking something seen before in weddings and making it unique. In this design the bold damask pattern with roots in retro modern fabric design is misted with a torquoise watercolor wash, creating a collision between patterns and washes. The type also has a unique collision of the upright capital font and the retro-inspired, handsome script font.

    This wedding is perfect for a wedding that takes place in a historical building. It also would work really well for an offbeat couple who enjoys the retro look and is incorporating it into their theme. Later this week I will expand on how the damask theme can be incorporated into the other details of your wedding, so stay tuned.

    The Butterfly Favor Tags are the perfect addition to nature inspired favors. The tags get customized with the couple’s names and wedding day. The Butterfly wedding theme is perfect for the DIY bride who could choose to make favors of mini potted plants or vases with flowers. The mini potted plant favor is a very “green” and eco friendly idea. I also really like the idea of giving guests a succulent or air plant in a terrarium for their favor, as these are easy plants to take care of, and last much longer than cut flowers. Placed on a windowsill by direct light, this favor is sure to bring a smile to your friends and family’s faces for a long time to come.

    Also, as I researched unique favors to share with you I found a cute edible favor …no bake cake potted flowers. I know most guests appreciate edible favors because they had just been dancing and celebrating and enjoy a snack as they head home for the night. This is a great way to keep a nature-inspired butterfly theme. It also reminds me of all those fond memories when I was a kid eating the ever clever dirt and worms. I also think butterflies would be a nice touch to the flowers in the mini cake pots, in order to bring the theme more into the Butterfly Wedding.

    It is so exciting to be building up this year’s collection of Hand-Painted Wedding Shop Invitations! This brand new Butterfly Wedding invitation is inspired by one of the most beautiful creatures in nature, the butterfly.

    I was surprised to notice that there aren’t many butterfly wedding invitations on the market right now, so I’m excited to offer this unique option for couples getting married in the spring, summer, or maybe even the early fall season. This design features an elegant calligraphy font along with a modern, classic headline font. This butterfly has a beautiful jewel toned color palette and is on top of a simple yellow and orange flower branch.

    I am often inspired by nature for wedding invitations because there is so much untouched and pure beauty in nature. The butterfly in particular is an animal that flutters in such a pure way that attracts even the most distracted attention to it. The Butterfly Wedding Invitation is down-to-earth with a calm, pretty nature to it.
